CCG is a constitutional watchdog that promotes the constitution and the rule of law. The protection of human rights and civic space is at the core of their work. In the past, they have implemented a civic engagements and digital rights project in partnership with Oxfam Uganda and Voice/Oxfam. Under this project, they established the Digital Civic Space TV to amplify people’s voices around governance in Uganda, especially those of women and young people.

Partnering with Oxfam in the ReCIPE project will empower CCG to do various things:

  • They will advocate for policies that promote secure digital infrastructure and equal access to digital technologies.
  • They will call for safe digital practices and the enforcement of strong data protection regulations.
  • They will promote online skills and provide training so people can use digital technologies safely and effectively.
