Oxfam in Cambodia, the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia, and IPS represented ReCIPE at this event, participating in DRAPAC2025 sessions. They contributed to multiple workshops, including a session on ASEAN and Digital Rights, co-organised by Oxfam in Asia. Oxfam in Asia also facilitated an internal reflection session on the final day of the event, allowing participants to exchange knowledge, insights, and lessons learned from the DRAPAC2025 experience.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Dong, Director of the Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development (IPS), shared the three key takeaways the team drew from the event:
First, the young generation stands out as a vital agent of change in promoting a more open and inclusive digital civic space. This highlights the need for IPS to reposition its role by providing knowledge and expertise to young activist groups and community-based organisations.
Second, bridging the gap between generations, both at individual and institutional levels, is crucial to fostering intergenerational collaboration in the digital sphere.
Lastly, the absence of private tech sector and government participation underscores the importance of engaging these actors to build a more connected and sustainable digital ecosystem.
